Role & Responsibilities
- Lead design stages from RIBA 0 to 3, developing initial concepts and responding to detailed client briefs
- Produce high-quality hand sketches and digital visuals to communicate design intent and spatial concepts clearly
- Collaborate with Directors and consultants to ensure alignment between design vision and project requirements
- Supervise the preparation of planning drawings and coordinate outputs across the wider design team
- Prepare and submit planning and listed building applications including detailed design statements and reports
- Manage design development processes, ensuring timely delivery of concept packages and planning submissions
- Provide leadership to small project teams, guiding design direction and maintaining high-quality outputs
- Engage with stakeholders to present proposals and respond to feedback during early project stages
Skills & Experience Required
- Qualified Architect with a minimum of 5 years post Part III experience within the UK architecture sector
- Proven track record delivering high-end residential, hospitality or commercial projects of significant value
- Strong hand sketching ability and advanced 3D visualisation skills for concept design communication
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Suite and Microsoft Office for design and presentation work
- Confident leading small teams and coordinating consultants across early project stages
- Experience preparing planning and listed building consent applications within complex urban environments
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present ideas clearly to clients and stakeholders
- Excellent design sensibility with a focus on detail, proportion and high-quality architectural outcomes
