The Part II Architectural Assistant job in Richmond offers a heritage focused opportunity within an established international residential property portfolio. An in-house design team creates properties focused on luxury, privacy and refinement. The organisation has a strong pipeline of projects across the UK and overseas. This position supports a heritage focused project involving a Grade II* listed building. The successful candidate will join the design and architecture team on a permanent basis.
Role & Responsibilities
- Work with the design and architecture team, Head of Design and Construction, and CEO on project requirements
- Assist with producing coordinated technical packages for heritage and luxury residential projects across relevant project stages
- Liaise effectively with internal departments, external consultants and wider design teams
- Manage workload independently while maintaining accuracy, organisation and effective delivery against agreed project requirements
Skills & Experience Required
- Minimum one year’s professional experience working on heritage projects within the UK
- High-end residential project experience is beneficial
- Strong design and presentation skills with the ability to produce creative and technically accurate project material
- Proven ability to work independently, prioritise responsibilities and manage workload effectively across multiple project activities
- Comprehensive knowledge of UK building regulations and residential technical detailing requirements across relevant project stages
- Confident communication skills with experience attending meetings and presenting design proposals to project stakeholder
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite
- Hand sketching ability is beneficial

Who Is This Role Ideal For?

You should have at least one year’s experience supporting projects involving historic or listed buildings. Strong organisation is essential because you must manage your workload independently and accurately. Experience within high-end residential environments would support your application but is not essential. You should be proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite.
