Everyone works well together and you are given a great level of autonomy on your desk. Management listen to how you want to develop your desk and give professional advice and guidance. This makes us all successful Consultants, making money and maintaining a high level of service.
Onboarding is thorough and there are ongoing development and career growth opportunities. You are trusted to work hard and are not micromanaged. Rewards are regular and thoughtful. In addition to commission, monthly & quarterly incentives are organised for the team. Always so much fun!!
Management and leaders have become friends over time, these people care about you as an individual and have a great understanding of what support is needed both inside and outside of work to help you get through pivotal and/or difficult times in your life. You are not just a number at Hunter Dunning. Everyone matters. So if you don’t want to be a small cog in a large machine Hunter Dunning could be for you!
Jennifer Driscoll - Business Operations & Marketing ManagerI worked in the sales world for a few years and had always been interested in recruitment as a future career move but never wanted to move into a generic recruitment role. Then I found Hunter Dunning and was instantly attracted to the company due to its specialism within the property sector.
Fast forward 5 years and it’s the best decision I made! I initially joined the architecture team as a Junior Recruitment Consultant and went through training that I believe helped me develop in the role very quickly. The company recognises hard work and allows you to develop/grow professionally to a senior level, and most importantly they encourage and support you through this process to help you achieve your goals.
I love the type of clients we work with, we all have regular/exclusive clients that we work very closely with on a monthly basis which has resulted in multiple successful placements over the years and happy clients/candidates that continue to return to us which makes the job even more rewarding!
We have a really fantastic team here at Hunter Dunning, we all collaborate well in the office and are very supportive of each other. We also have regular social events outside of work, team-building days, and more!
Charlotte Lambert - Senior Consultant“Hunter Dunning has been so supportive of my progression, both personally and professionally. Nothing is too much trouble, for example needing time off or to alter working hours for extra-curricular activities they were more than happy to accommodate, which really makes a difference in motivating staff. Additionally, there is always training or performance feedback available, in order to help you to achieve more at work, for example in my year and a half with the company I have moved onto managing a more challenging desk, with the support and guidance of management.
The company also allows me to get involved in the business, outside of my job role contributions, for example writing a blog post for the website and submitting ideas for other departments. Furthermore, there are little touches for example a plentiful supply of fruit to snack on, offers for a coffee or hot chocolate to be made for you and then the big touches, such as organised nights out together and fun social events which we can all get involved in. The team becomes more like family than co-workers, we all get along great and socialise both in and out of work together. I would highly recommend Hunter Dunning to anyone who is happy to work hard but also play harder. Just make sure you are inventive enough to come up with new games for the Monday morning meeting and you are happy to play with the office dog during your breaks.”
Miranda Butler - Recruitment ConsultantI joined Hunter Dunning seven years ago with no recruitment experience. They offered excellent support and training in the development of my career with has seen me progress in the company. But more importantly I have felt the company and to be specific Joe Synes has understood me as a person, in recognizing my efforts and managing a work life balance. It really is a company I feel valued and wouldn’t hesitate to recommended.
John Watson - Lead ConsultantI made the move from working in HR to joining Hunter Dunning as a recruitment consultant. The training and guidance whilst starting out was second-to-none and the whole team are very collaborative and supportive.
Hunter Dunning has provided me with progression and development opportunities, both within my niche area of focus and to a senior level.
There is a good amount of autonomy for consultants, with realistic targets for both the individual and the company. We work with amazing clients and candidates and have an impressive track record of successful placements.
In return, the business offers a strong remuneration package that is fair and motivating. There are also frequent team socials, a good work-life balance, and most importantly it’s an enjoyable place to work!
Matthew Trussler - Senior ConsultantThe team here is so supportive, a great environment to work in where people get things done but there is a nice fun vibe in the office. -Regular social outings whether that’s a drink after work or an activity like bowling, crazy golf, pizza making… we have done it all – The company makes you feel valued, we get bottles of Bubbly, sweet treats in the office and Incentive events like Goodwood Races.
