Role & Responsibilities

  • Support the design and delivery of urban design and masterplanning projects across multiple stages.
  • Produce high-quality drawings, visualisations and presentation materials to communicate design proposals effectively.
  • Collaborate with planners, architects and consultants to develop coordinated and integrated design solutions.
  • Contribute to concept design, design strategies and supporting project documentation.
  • Engage with clients and stakeholders, supporting consultations, workshops and project discussions.
  • Assist with project management tasks including programme coordination and team communication.
  • Support preparation of reports and documentation for planning and design submissions.
  • Maintain design quality and consistency across project outputs and deliverables.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Minimum two years experience working in urban design and masterplanning within a UK practice environment.
  • Strong conceptual and design skills with a creative approach to placemaking and sustainable development.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite and 3D modelling software for design production.
  • Excellent graphic, written and verbal communication skills for presenting design ideas clearly.
  • Relevant qualification such as a Master’s in Urban Design or RIBA Part 2 with relevant experience.
  • Experience working across multiple project stages from concept through to detailed design.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams and contribute to shared project outcomes.
  • Interest in project management and bid support activities would be advantageous.
