Technical Manager Job in Leicestershire

My client has a Technical Manager job available in their regional office in Leicestershire. This top 10 housebuilder are looking to strengthen this region with a number of new technical and engineering roles available.

As the successful Technical Manager, you’ll report into the Design & Technical Director for the region and will be tasked with working closely with the land, planning, commercial and construction teams from land bids through to the build phase. This client is ideally looking for an experienced Technical Manager with an Architectural background and in volume housebuilding.

Role & Responsibilities

• Assist other teams with the preparation and submission of planning applications
• Make sure the design aligns with the budgets
• Ensure the design is aligned with the company’s standards
• Procure investigations and surveys
• Manage external consultants when required
• Work with construction and sales teams to ensure that appropriate house types are plotted
• Prepare sales area layouts
• Review design codes
• Review materials with commercial and buying teams
• Mentor junior team members.

Required Skills & Experience

• Previous experience as a Technical Manager
• Ideally from an architectural background
• Volume housebuilding background
• Relevant degree.
