Role & Responsibilities

• Act as technical authority for Ecology across the business, guiding complex project decisions and outcomes
• Lead technical excellence, innovation and best practice initiatives across ecological consultancy services and teams
• Provide strategic oversight and technical reviews for major, complex and nationally significant ecological projects
• Develop and maintain technical standards, procedures and guidance for consistent high-quality ecological delivery
• Lead complex EcIA, HRA and Biodiversity Net Gain assessments across major commissions
• Lead Northern ecology business growth, performance, resource planning and financial management across the region
• Develop regional business plans, major framework bids and strategic client engagement opportunities
• Build and inspire a high-performing ecology team while collaborating with Directors across the Group

Skills & Experience Required

• Hold a degree or equivalent qualification in Ecology, Environmental Science or a related discipline
• Bring extensive senior-level consultancy experience with significant responsibility for ecological consultancy leadership
• Demonstrate a proven record of developing high-performing teams and growing successful business performance
• Apply strong commercial and financial management experience across ecological projects, teams and portfolios
• Show demonstrable success in business development and maintaining strategic relationships with key clients
• Provide expert knowledge of EcIA, HRA, Biodiversity Net Gain and complex project delivery
• Maintain full membership of CIEEM, with chartered status or equivalent recognition considered desirable
• Hold a full United Kingdom driving licence for travel between offices and project sites

Salary & Benefits
