Due to ongoing growth out client id currently recruiting for a Technical co-ordinator to join their team in London (EC)

The successful applicants will have membership of a recognised professional body such as RIBA or CIAT.

Your responsibilities will include the following

  • With the project leader and/or senior technical co-ordinator, responsible for the technical aspects of the project and their delivery.
  • Assist the Project Leader in planning and managing the project.
  • Deputise for the Project Leader as required.
  • Specific responsibility for the technical co-ordination of the design.
  • Lead or assist with the technical co-ordination process.
  • Attend meetings with clients, contractors and the other consultants on technical co-ordination matters as required.
  • Liaise with staff (including at times those in other offices), the client, other consultants and sub-consultants to ensure co-ordination of the design and all relevant documentation.
  • Compliance of the design with Building Regulations, and all applicable statutory regulations
  • Managing the production of specifications (in-house or outsourced)
  • Completion of production information
  • Checking of trade contractor drawings and technical submissions
  • Supporting site representatives with Building Control and Fire officer liaison
  • Risk Assessments and liaison with the Health and Safety Consultant/CDM Co-ordinator
  • Liaise with technical sub-consultants such as Fire and Acoustic Consultants
  • Co-ordinate the technical issues with other aspects of the project
  • Carry out other duties on the project as required by the Project Director
  • Attend convene and record actions of meetings in conjunction with the above
  • In conjunction with the technical director, participate in initiatives to improve the technical capability and efficiency of the office
  • Research technical issues, attend relevant conferences etc and report on them.
    Candidates will have proficient knowledge of AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Applications and working knowledge of Project Information Databases such as BIW Specification writing
