Role & Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of visioning, masterplanning, and high-profile placemaking projects
• Prepare design codes, regulatory plans, layouts, parameter plans, and land budget plans
• Manage project teams while building relationships with clients, consultants, and local communities
• Write reports for Design and Access Statements and Design Codes across varied project stages
• Work collaboratively with Urban Designers, Architects, and multidisciplinary support teams across projects
• Represent the practice during client meetings, workshops, consultations, and public engagement activities
• Mentor junior team members while contributing to the development of the studio design ethos

Skills & Experience Required

• Postgraduate qualification in Urban Design is essential for this role and project workload
• Minimum three years’ post-qualified experience on large-scale UK urban design and masterplanning projects
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, CAD, and hand-drawing for design communication work
• Experience producing layouts, parameter plans, and land budget plans across planning projects
• Evidence of report writing for Design and Access Statements and Design Codes documentation
• Experience working on residential-led, mixed-use projects, and large-scale masterplanning schemes
• Strong written, verbal, and graphic communication skills for presentations and stakeholder engagement
• Proven ability managing project teams while collaborating effectively with clients and consultants

Salary Benefits

• Salary of £45,000 – £55,000 per annum depending on experience
