Role & Responsibilities

• Develop masterplans for projects of varying sizes from concept through planning application stages
• Support outline and reserved matters planning applications across residential and mixed-use developments
• Work on large-scale residential masterplanning projects and other complex multidisciplinary development schemes
• Create vision statements, design codes, and strategic documents guiding future project development
• Collaborate with the Urbanism team while managing small teams and working independently
• Contribute to sustainable placemaking solutions that positively influence communities and natural environments
• Support project design development across health, education, leisure, residential, and renewable energy sectors

Skills & Experience Required

• Degree, Masters, or Diploma in Urban Design, Architecture, or a related built environment field
• Experience within private practice, consultancy, or commercial housebuilding environments is highly beneficial
• Detailed design or reserved matters application experience would be advantageous for this position
• Proficiency using CAD software with Vectorworks or SketchUp knowledge considered an advantage
• Familiarity with local authority guidelines, planning systems, and design-led development processes
• Self-driven and detail-oriented approach with strong organisational and project coordination abilities
• Strong communication skills supporting effective collaboration with colleagues, clients, and consultant teams
