Senior Urban Designer - London

Our client is a leading firm of Architects, Urban Designers and Masterplanners. An exciting opportunity now exists in our client’s London office for a talented, experienced and passionate Urban Designer to work on a number of medium and large scale residential and mixed use development masterplans and layouts in the UK.

The successful candidate will be flexible and organized with proven design skills and a passion for creating great places. You will thrive on team work, have excellent technical and problem-solving skills, be able to think strategically and be confident in client liaison and project management. You must have demonstrable track record in design development from initial design concept to planning submission is required. An interest in the UK housing sector and a good understanding of the planning system is preferred.

Candidates wishing to apply for the role ideally come from consultancy environment in a urban design and masterplanning role and hold a Urban Design qualification. You will be experienced working on UK residential and mixed-use projects including the ability to manage projects and coordinate the production of design and access statements.

All applicants must have excellent written & communication skills with proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft office, AutoCAD and Sketchup

Experience working with national house builders would be highly advantageous.

This position is a fixed term contract for 9 months with the possibility of future permanent employment.
