Role & Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed transport assessments, statements and travel plans to support planning applications and development proposals
• Analyse traffic data, junction capacity and transport patterns to inform design recommendations and policy compliance
• Provide technical input into feasibility studies, site appraisals and masterplanning projects across varied development types
• Engage with local authorities, stakeholders and clients to support project progression and secure necessary approvals

• Contribute to sustainable transport strategies, including active travel, public transport integration and decarbonisation initiatives
• Review and interpret transport models and datasets to inform evidence-based planning decisions

Skills & Experience Required

• Proven experience as a Transport Planner within a consultancy environment delivering UK-based development projects
• Strong knowledge of transport assessment methodologies, modelling tools and data analysis techniques
• Understanding of national and local planning policy, including transport-related guidance and frameworks
• Ability to produce clear, concise and technically accurate reports for planning submissions and client presentations
• Experience liaising with local authorities and stakeholders to negotiate and progress planning applications
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a collaborative and professional approach
• Membership of a relevant professional body or working towards chartership within the transport planning sector

Salary & Benefits

• Salary between £45,000 and £60,000 depending on experience and level of responsibility
