Technical Interior Designer Job in London

Senior Technical Interior Designer required to join a luxury design firm based in Knightsbridge, London. The practice has a wide portfolio of high-end and luxury projects across London and overseas. This role will involve managing the technical design from concept through to completion whilst still being involved in all aspect of design, liaising with clients, and managing junior members of the team. This is a great opportunity to join a design studio that is highly recognised and has won a number of awards for their luxurious projects across the globe.

Established almost three decades ago, the practice has a solid and far-reaching client base of HWNIs, developers, and commercial clients. Covering all aspect of design, from concept through to completion, the firm provides a range of bespoke services to meet their clients’ needs. This role will play a key part in the technical design for projects and provides a great opportunity to work on projects in some of the most affluent areas across London and overseas.

Role & Responsibilities

• Create full technical drawing packages including joinery detailing
• Monitor and check schedules and control packs to ensure accuracy
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and internal team
• Liaise and work with FF&E team to establish interior architecture and finishes, as well drawings of furniture plans, checking and approving supplier drawings and build quality
• Work with internal teams to establish and improve drawing standards
• On-site work and overseeing installations

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years’ interior design/interior architecture experience
• Proficient user of AutoCAD (Vectorworks or SketchUp also considered), Adobe Creative Suite, and MS office
• Relevant industry qualification
• Experience creating full technical packages for large scale projects with limited supervision
• Understand/experience with FF&E
• Strong attention to detail
• Team management skills

What you get back

• Salary of £43,000 – £50,000 per annum
