Senior Technical Architect (with Team Management Experience) - Southwark, London

This is an opportunity for a Senior Technical Architect to join the designers of one of the most popular restaurant chains on the high street today.
Based in Southwark, London, this highly creative, multidisciplinary practice specialise in Residential, Restaurant and Retail design, but also incorporate personal product design into everyone if their projects. This design led practice is driven to produce site specific design with an environmental consciousness at heart. Constantly looking to innovate and find creative design solutions for every project, their forward thinking creates some of the most eclectic and contemporary designs in the F&B (food & beverage) industry right now. Whilst they’ve some fantastic clients requesting their assistance on restaurants and bar projects, their experience and quirky designs also transfer into residential, pop up retail and public art projects. Their aim is to allow the users of their design to enjoy the texture, colour and life that is put into each space.

Role & Responsibilities

The successful applicant with be working on a number of ground breaking restaurant project in the UK. Project values range from £30,000 to well over £1 million, irrespective of size however, the design team pride themselves on their attention to detail with every project.
You will be assisting the Director, as well as managing a small team of 5 and making senior decisions in the Directors absence. Extensive management experience is therefore key for this role. Alongside this, you will need to have a sound technical knowledge, whilst also having a passion and flair for design.

Required Skills & Experience

• A minimum of 4 years UK experience
• Fluent in Vectorworks
• Experienced in managing small teams
• A flair for design
• An in-depth understanding of design
• Fantastic Technical knowledge
• Strong building regulations knowledge
• Confident in giving team members advise in the
• Making senior decisions in the Directors absence
• Job running experience
• Be creative minded
• Experienced within restaurant / bar / hospitality / retail / public art sectors
• A passion for modern design

Salary & Package
