Senior Residential Architect Job in Worthing, West Sussex

Our client has a Senior Architect job available. This AJ100 practice is seeking a Senior Architect with in-depth residential layout experience, to join its team based on the South coast.

This AJ100 practice with offices based in London, Sussex and Bristol, the teams consist of several Architectural, Technological and Administrative staff. They specialise in a variety of sectors such as; education, commercial, community, residential and are experts at master planning for both urban and rural sites. Over the years, my client has been shortlisted for over 20 design awards including 4 RIBA Awards, 4 Civic Trust Awards, 4 residential design awards, and 7 education design awards.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Taking a lead role in running projects across all project stages
  • Preparing initial feasibility site layouts, detailed masterplans and planning application packages
  • Clients would include house builders, private developers, and housing associations
  • Develop designs for residential developments, infill schemes and large urban extension projects
  • Managing a project team
  • Preparing fee quotes and help develop business opportunities.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Experience in running large projects from inception to achieving planning consent
  • Project experience of working from smaller infill schemes to larger urban extension projects
  • Experience of working with house builders, independent developers and housing associations
  • Up to date knowledge of UK planning and building regulations
  • Understanding of residential layout designs regarding housing led schemes
  • Ability to lead project teams
  • Able to work to deadlines
  • Experience of preparing fee quotes and developing business opportunities
  • Taking initiative to ensure that projects are suitably resourced
  • Excellent communication skills.
