Role & Responsibilities

• Deliver pre contract estimating and cost planning across residential commercial and refurbishment projects
• Provide procurement support including preparation of tender documentation and contractor selection
• Administer contracts under standard forms including managing variations and contractual correspondence
• Prepare interim valuations cost checks and monthly post contract reports
• Manage change control cost reporting and forecasting final project outturns
• Negotiate and agree final accounts with contractors and stakeholders
• Undertake value engineering exercises and advise clients on cost risk mitigation
• Prepare feasibility studies procurement reports and final cost plans
• Liaise with clients consultants and wider project teams throughout delivery
• Lead elements of cost management delivery while mentoring junior surveyors

Skills & Experience Required

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying Cost Management or related discipline
• RICS accredited or working towards chartership
• Minimum five years post qualification experience within a PQS or consultancy environment
• Experience delivering residential commercial and refurbishment projects
• Strong technical capability in measurement estimating and cost planning
• Experience administering JCT or equivalent standard forms of contract
• Strong commercial awareness with experience managing risk and final accounts
• Confident communicator with strong client facing ability
• Organised proactive and capable of managing multiple project priorities
