A design led multi-award winning practice in Tower Hamlets are now looking for an experienced Mandarin speaking Senior/ Project Architect to join their fast growing company on a permanent basis.

Established in 2004 the practice is now looking at expanding the business at a highly fast pace and will be exploring new sectors and new locations with projects taking place internationally as well as throughout the UK. The firm has currently built up an eclectic portfolio of UK projects over the years, ranging from £2.5million to £60million in construction value. Their wide variety of completed projects includes High-end Residential, Education, Masterplans, and Residential Developments. The practice is well known for its design excellence and its constantly growing team, offering both consultancy and design services.

Role & Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be running a number of large projects, predominantly to start with a large housing development with properties of a traditional theme. You will be leading teams whilst working on a large variety of RIBA stages working under your own initiative. You will be in charge of leading team meetings, liaising with clients and attending site visits as well as problem solving when required, whilst ensuring everything runs smoothly throughout the project.

Required Skills & Experience

-A minimum of 10 years professional experience in an Architectural practice
-Must have experience leading projects
-Must have solid knowledge of all RIBA stages
-Must be fluent in speaking both Mandarin and English
-Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations and Planning
-Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential
-Must have the ability to present to clients and work with external consultants
-Must be savvy with confidence working under your own initiative
-Knowledge of contract administration and budgeting would be advantageous
-Preferably will have run residential development projects
-Will ideally have worked on projects with a value of around £30million+
-Experience using Revit is advantageous
-Strong communication skills with clients, staff members, contractors and consultants


The successful candidate will be rewarded with a competitive salary of £45,000 – £55,000, depending on experience. Alongside this, you will receive a pension scheme.
