Senior Planner Job in Worthing, West Sussex
Senior Planner job in Worthing, West Sussex for a reputable planning consultancy, providing town planning services for both public and private sector clients in the transport and property sectors. The role offers further scope for progression and a salary of circa £35,000 + Bonus + Hybrid Working.
The consultancy provides services to both private and public sector clients including planning, development, strategic land, appeals and architecture/design services. With offices across London, Bristol and The South Coast, they serve clients in London and across the UK.
Role & Responsibilities
- Assembly and submission of planning applications, appeals and other relevant consents
- Research into relevant planning policy and specific legislation and provide accurate client advice on planning requirements
- Assist with management of projects on behalf of clients, assimilation of team and delegation of work to team members
- Assist with client caseload of work, direct client contact and day-to-day liaison
- Assist the Directors with work-winning activities and networking
- Coordinate and draft planning appraisals, planning statements, appeal statements, statements of community involvement and other relevant planning reports or documentation
- Assist in negotiations with local authorities, other statutory bodies and third parties, to reach agreement on planning matters
- Provision of guidance to clients and third-party consultants on all planning matters
- Assist with undertaking public and stakeholder consultation on specific projects including co-ordination and administration of events and website
- Contribute to marketing outputs including website and social media functions.
Required Skills & Experience
- Relevant Degree in Planning or similar
- MRTPI or working towards
- 3+ years’ experience in planning
- Excellent report writing skills.
