Role & Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit planning applications, appeals, and supporting documentation across residential projects
• Manage planning submissions ensuring accurate records and compliance with regulatory requirements
• Build and maintain relationships with local authorities and key project stakeholders
• Represent projects at planning committees and public consultation events
• Monitor local planning policy updates and assess impact on development proposals
• Undertake research to support planning strategies and application submissions
• Coordinate external consultants and review technical input for planning applications
• Collaborate with internal teams to support project development and delivery objectives

Skills & Experience Required

• Degree qualified in planning, urban planning, geography, or related discipline
• Minimum five years experience within planning consultancy, local authority, or development environments
• Strong knowledge of UK planning process, legislation, and appeals procedures
• Experience liaising with local councils and engaging with stakeholders effectively
• Ability to present information at public consultations and planning committee meetings
• Strong organisational skills to manage multiple planning applications and deadlines
• Good communication skills for written reports and stakeholder engagement
• MRTPI accreditation is desirable but not essential for this role

Salary & Benefits

• Salary range between £30,000 and £45,000 depending on experience and level
