Role & Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and delegate multiple planning projects while maintaining progress and delivery standards
• Contribute to training and supporting junior colleagues across planning tasks and project responsibilities
• Attend meetings independently and represent clients in professional planning discussions when required
• Manage internal and external teams while collating major planning applications and supporting documentation
• Liaise with Local Authorities to progress applications, respond to consultations, and negotiate planning matters
• Produce high-quality planning and technical documentation, including appeal documents and briefing notes
• Organise and manage consultation events while attending client meetings and committee meetings
• Support new and repeat business through networking, fee proposals, budgets, and engagement letters

Skills & Experience Required

• MRTPI qualified or close to achieving chartered status within the next six months
• Ideally three years or more experience working as a planner within relevant project environments
• Strong understanding and knowledge of the planning system across applications, appeals, and consultations
• Consultancy background is preferred for managing clients, deadlines, documentation, and project expectations
• Full UK driving licence and car required for meetings, site visits, and project commitments
• Able to manage competing project demands while supporting junior colleagues and external consultant teams
• Confident attending meetings, negotiating with councils, and communicating with public and private stakeholders

Salary & Benefits

• Salary of £31,000 – £42,000
