Senior Landscape Architect – Maidstone, Kent

A creative landscape design practice specialising in private high-end estate and garden design projects in the UK, are looking for a creative Senior Landscape Architect to join as a right hand person to the managing director and assist in a growing pipeline of work.

This leading design practice established in 2004, with a reputation for creating beautiful gardens, often in historic settings and alongside listed properties, comprises of a small team of landscape architects, garden designers and gardeners.
The practice offers services including horticultural, visual design and project management expertise to provide a complete landscape design services, from conception to building/planting.

They are currently looking for a Senior Landscape Architect to provide direct support to the Creative director.

Role & Responsibilities

This role will see you involved in all aspects of design, detailing and specification of allocated projects and preparing fee proposals, budgeting and project management.

Additionally, you will assist the Director in the smooth running of the practice including staff and time management and the organisation of workload, alongside providing support, guidance and mentoring to junior members of the staff.

Required Skills & Experience

• Degree in Landscape Architecture or Garden Design
• A high standard of analytical, design and technical experience
• A good knowledge of Vectorworks, Sketchup, Adobe Creative Suite, Excel
• Good hand drawing skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of people
• Flexibility of travel in the UK
• Advanced verbal and written communication skills in English
• CMLI preferred

Salary & Package

A highly competitive salary is on offer commensurate with experience between £36,000 and £45,000. Additionally, the practice offers statutory pension and holiday, alongside flexible working opportunities where appropriate.
