Are you looking for a new challenging Interior Design position? A thriving interior design & styling practice is looking for a Senior Interior Designer to join their London based team and work on contemporary residential projects from initial concept through to completion.

Originally established as an interior styling company, the practice has been providing award winning furnishing solutions for the property market and has built a reputation for achieving exceptional results since their inception in 2004. However, with a high-demand for interior design services, they developed their own interior design department last year, which specialises in full turnkey solutions for private clients.

Currently part of a 17, their interior design department works on contemporary, high-end projects in London and Home County areas. Due to an increasing pipeline of work they are currently looking for a Senior Interior Designer to join them on a permanent basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a hardworking individual to make their ‘design stamp’ on the department and to assist in strengthening the design arm of the company.

Experience & skills:

  • 3+ year’s interior design experience on high-end residential schemes
  • Good all-round abilities; experience working on all project stages
  • Knowledge of interior architecture; drawings packages, detailed drawings, joinery etc
  • Project management experience
  • Ability to oversee and guide junior designers
  • Design presentation experience to HNWI clients and developers
  • Existent supplier relationships within the high-end sector
  • Experience with sub-contractors and associated contracts
  • Styling and dressing experience
  • Outstanding attention to detail
  • Business development skills would be highly beneficial
  • Proficiency with CAD and/or Vectorworks, Excel, InDesign and Photoshop
  • Knowledge of EstiMac / EstiPC

Role & Responsibilities

You will be part of the company’s interior design department and will assist the growth of the team in the London/Home Counties high-end interiors sector. Main tasks will include (but are not limited to):

  • Producing design concepts, proposals, mood boards and technical drawings
  • FF&E; sourcing and ordering as well as producing estimates as needed
  • Project management and administration
  • Attending site visits and leading installation teams on site
  • Styling and dressing projects to the highest standard
  • Sourcing new suppliers and contractors assisting with associated contracts
  • Liaising directly with clients and suppliers; developing and maintaining relationships moving forward
  • Acting as a mentor to the junior designers, leading by example
  • Conducting internal weekly/monthly design meetings with your team when required
  • Reporting directly to the Directors with concise and detailed reporting when required
  • Assisting with business development

As the company expands, you may be asked to perform different tasks for the directors as required by your changing role within the company.

Salary & Package

  • £35,000 – £40,000 dependent on experience
  • Discretionary bonus in line with personal/KPI and company performance
  • 20 day’s holiday, increasing 1 day per year served to a maximum of 25 days per annum
