Role & Responsibilities

• Lead and manage large or complex fire engineering projects while taking ownership of deliverables
• Provide technical expertise on fire safety strategies, performance-based designs, and complex problem-solving
• Review and approve technical submissions from subcontractors, consultants, and wider project team members
• Lead design team meetings, technical workshops, client presentations, and project coordination discussions
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers while supporting their continued professional development
• Represent the consultancy with clients, authorities having jurisdiction, and wider project stakeholders
• Keep updated with UK legislation, guidance, and industry best practice for compliant delivery

Skills & Experience Required

• Degree qualified in Fire Engineering with BEng, BSc, MSc, or equivalent relevant qualification
• Chartered status achieved or near completion through a recognised professional fire engineering route
• Extensive experience delivering fire engineering solutions across varied UK project types and sectors
• Strong knowledge of UK fire safety legislation, guidance, design standards, and compliance requirements
• Proven experience managing multiple projects and engineering teams concurrently across delivery stages
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for clients, consultants, authorities, and colleagues
• UK driving licence preferred although not essential for this Senior Fire Engineer position
• Applicants must have the right to work in the UK without sponsorship requirements

Salary & Benefits

• Salary offered between £50,000 – £55,000 per annum depending on experience and suitability
• 4.5-day working week with Friday afternoons off to support work life balance
