Role & Responsibilities

• Lead complex fire engineering projects across multiple sectors, ensuring delivery meets technical and regulatory standards.
• Review technical packages during RIBA stages 4 and 5, ensuring compliance with fire safety requirements.
• Produce detailed fire engineering reports and review contractor submissions for accuracy and quality.
• Implement fire strategies during construction and support retrospective fire strategy development.
• Lead workshops and meetings with project teams to develop effective fire safety solutions.
• Manage projects from start to completion, overseeing financials, quality, and client care.
• Support and mentor junior engineers, contributing to team development and knowledge sharing.
• Engage with clients throughout project lifecycles and contribute to business development activities.

Skills & Experience Required

• Engineering Council accredited degree such as BEng, MEng, or MSc in a relevant discipline.
• Professional membership such as CEng, MRICS, MCABE, or working towards accreditation.
• Minimum associate membership of the Institution of Fire Engineers.
• Extensive experience delivering fire engineering solutions on UK based projects.
• Strong knowledge of UK fire safety legislation, regulations, and design guidance.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver work within tight deadlines.
• Strong communication skills when working with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
• Full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle for project related travel.

Salary & Benefits

• Salary of £55,000 – £70,000 per annum depending on experience and technical capability.
