Role & Responsibilities

• Lead complex fire engineering projects from concept through to construction and completion stages
• Review technical packages during RIBA stages 4 and 5 to ensure compliance and quality standards
• Develop and implement fire strategies for both new developments and existing buildings
• Produce detailed engineering reports and review contractor submissions for technical accuracy
• Mentor graduate and intermediate engineers to support technical development within the team
• Lead workshops and meetings to coordinate design solutions with project stakeholders
• Manage projects end to end including financial control, quality planning, and client care
• Support business development activities through client engagement and work winning initiatives

Skills & Experience Required

• Engineering Council accredited BEng Hons, MEng, or MSc within fire engineering discipline
• Chartered status or working towards accreditation such as CEng, MRICS, or MCABE
• Minimum Associate membership of the Institution of Fire Engineers or working towards
• Extensive experience delivering fire engineered solutions across UK construction projects
• Strong understanding of UK fire safety legislation, regulations, and design guidance
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently while maintaining high quality outputs
• Strong communication skills to engage with clients, contractors, and design teams effectively
• Full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle for site visits and project travel

Salary & Benefits

• Salary range between £50,000 and £65,000 depending on experience and level
