Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead complex fire engineering projects from concept design through to final delivery stages
  • Review technical packages during RIBA Stages 4 and 5 to ensure compliance and quality
  • Support and mentor graduate to fire engineer level within your project team
  • Lead workshops and technical meetings to develop coordinated fire engineering solutions
  • Implement fire strategies during construction and produce retrospective fire strategy reports
  • Produce detailed technical reports and review contractor submissions for compliance
  • Manage projects including financial control, programme tracking, and quality assurance processes
  • Maintain client relationships and contribute to business development activities

Skills & Experience Required

  • Degree qualified in engineering with an accredited BEng, MEng, or MSc qualification
  • Professional membership such as CEng, MRICS, MCABE, or actively working towards chartership
  • Minimum Associate membership of the Institution of Fire Engineers is required
  • Extensive experience delivering fire engineering solutions on UK construction projects
  • Strong knowledge of UK fire safety legislation, regulations, and design guidance
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently while maintaining high quality outputs
  • Experience working collaboratively with multidisciplinary design and construction teams
  • Full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle for site visits and project needs

Salary & Benefits

  • Salary range of £55,000 to £65,000 depending on experience and qualifications
  • Mileage reimbursement at 45 pence per mile for business related travel
