Role & Responsibilities

• Lead complex fire engineering projects across all stages from concept through to completion
• Review technical packages during RIBA Stages 4 and 5 to ensure compliance and coordination
• Support and mentor graduate to intermediate level fire engineers within the team
• Lead workshops and meetings to develop fire engineering design solutions collaboratively
• Implement fire strategies during construction and develop retrospective fire strategies where required
• Produce detailed technical engineering reports and review contractor submissions
• Manage projects including financial control, quality management, and client care responsibilities
• Engage with clients throughout project lifecycles and contribute to business development activities

Skills & Experience Required

• Engineering Council accredited BEng Hons, MEng or MSc in a relevant discipline
• CEng, MRICS, MCABE or actively working towards professional accreditation
• Minimum Associate Member of the Institution of Fire Engineers or working towards
• Extensive experience delivering fire engineering solutions on UK based projects
• Strong understanding of UK fire legislation, regulations, and design guidance
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently while meeting strict deadlines
• Experience mentoring junior team members within a consultancy environment
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for site visits and project requirements

Salary & Benefits

• Salary between £45,000 and £55,000 depending on experience and suitability
• Mileage paid at 45 pence per mile for business related travel
