Job Summary

Senior FF&E Designer Job London is an opportunity to lead FF&E delivery within the Interior Design sector. The role covers high-end F&B, spa and large-scale hotel developments from concept through completion. You will work alongside the FF&E Associate, taking responsibility for design delivery and team management across multiple projects. The position combines creative leadership, technical direction, documentation oversight and direct communication with clients and external project teams.

You will develop project vision with Directors and Associates, then guide teams in translating direction into high-quality design output. The role also includes mentoring designers, delegating work, identifying development opportunities and supporting a productive studio environment. Strong verbal and written communication is essential because the position involves regular coordination with clients, operators, consultants and contractors. A minimum of 6 years’ experience across design and design project management is required for this senior position.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead FF&E project delivery from concept to completion across multiple concurrent design projects
  • Develop creative project visions with Directors and Associates, then communicate direction clearly to design teams
  • Lead design research during concept development while maintaining the studio’s stated stylistic design standards
  • Provide experienced design and technical direction, coordinating closely with interior design teams throughout project stages
  • Lead communication and coordination with clients, operators, consultants and contractors through the design development process
  • Oversee presentations, drawing packages, specifications, schedules, design documentation and construction documentation for project delivery
  • Delegate work, mentor team members and support productive environments focused on development and design quality
  • Monitor programme, budgets and contract deliverables, flagging resource or delivery issues in a timely manner

Skills & Experience Required

  • Bring a minimum of 6 years’ experience across design and design project management disciplines
  • Demonstrate experience delivering high-end F&B, spa and large-scale hotel development projects from conception to completion
  • Show strong knowledge of interior architecture, interior design, furniture design and product design principles
  • Combine a strong eye for colour, materials, composition and form with creative problem solving
  • Apply strong technical and construction knowledge while working effectively under pressure and project timelines
  • Communicate confidently with clients and consultants using strong presentation, verbal and written communication skills
  • Work independently and collaboratively, using strong managerial skills to guide and support wider project teams
  • Use Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Microsoft Office and Specwriter proficiently across design and documentation tasks

Salary & Benefits

  • £50,000 – £55,000
  • 21 days annual leave plus bank holidays, with 1 additional day per year of service up to 25 days
