Role & Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver ecology consultancy projects across the Home Counties, South, and Midlands
• Carry out Preliminary Ecological Appraisals and habitat condition assessments on site
• Undertake Biodiversity Impact Assessments to support planning and development proposals
• Conduct protected species surveys and priority species assessments across varied sites
• Prepare Ecological Impact Assessments and technical reports for planning submissions
• Design survey methodologies and lead field teams across multiple project types
• Prepare tenders and support project planning from initial enquiry through delivery
• Maintain client relationships and support project coordination activities

Skills & Experience Required

• Degree qualified in ecology or a related environmental discipline
• Membership of CIEEM or working towards professional accreditation
• Strong experience delivering ecological surveys and impact assessments
• Specialist expertise in one or more ecological disciplines or protected species
• Experience using GIS software such as QGIS or ArcGIS for mapping and analysis
• Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining technical accuracy
• Strong communication skills for report writing and client engagement
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel for site work
