Role & Responsibilities

  • Assist senior project leads with client liaison including brief development, fee proposals and project programming
  • Act as Contract Administrator or Employer’s Agent across multiple project types using standard construction contracts
  • Undertake site inspections and produce detailed reports to inform design and project decision making
  • Prepare feasibility studies, outline proposals and budget cost estimates for a range of building projects
  • Carry out measured surveys and produce accurate drawings to support design and documentation stages
  • Submit statutory applications including planning, listed building consent and building control approvals
  • Manage tender processes, analyse submissions and prepare detailed tender recommendation reports
  • Deliver professional services including party wall matters, condition surveys and rights to light assessments

Skills & Experience Required

  • MRICS qualified or equivalent professional accreditation within building surveying or related discipline
  • Degree in Building Surveying or closely related subject supporting technical understanding of the sector
  • Proven experience managing multiple projects to programme and budget across varied building types
  • Strong technical expertise in building surveying including contract administration and specification writing
  • Experience working within education, healthcare, commercial or public sector projects advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to manage client relationships and multidisciplinary teams
  • Self motivated and organised approach with ability to prioritise workload and deliver high quality outputs
