Role & Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multiple complex planning application projects across major development proposals and sectors
• Provide strategic, evidence-based planning advice to public and private sector clients
• Act as a trusted advisor while building strong client relationships with commercial awareness
• Contribute to senior leadership of the planning team, supporting strategic objectives and growth
• Assemble bids, secure new commissions and contribute to wider winning work strategies
• Work collaboratively with architecture, urban design, masterplanning and landscape architecture teams
• Support team development, business planning and resource management with senior leadership colleagues
• Mentor, inspire and support team members while upholding ethical and sustainable planning standards

Skills & Experience Required

• Chartered member of the Royal Town Planning Institute with MRTPI status required
• Minimum of five years post-qualification experience within town planning or related consultancy environments
• Strong track record in development management, strategic planning or complex planning project leadership
• Experience leading major planning projects and providing clear strategic advice to clients
• Proven ability to manage client relationships and support commercial planning consultancy activity
• Experience managing, mentoring or developing people within planning teams or project environments
• Commercial awareness with experience managing project resources, delivery standards and financial performance
• Broad sector knowledge with collaborative approach to multi-disciplinary working and sustainable placemaking
