My client who are a top 20 AJ practice have a Senior Associate Town Planner job available in their office in Bristol.

This architectural and planning practice employee more than 300 people across 10 regional offices. They are looking to expand their town planning team by appointing a Senior Associate Town Planner to join the regional office in Bristol. As the successful candidate, you’ll be an integral part of the senior management team, assisting the Directors in winning new business as well as working on applications across various sectors such as; Education, Healthcare, Residential and Commercial.

Role & Responsibilities

• Leading tender submissions and multi-disciplinary team proposals for major projects
• Preparing representations to emerging Development Plan documents
• Preparing Planning Policy Appraisals
• Attending site visits and client meetings
• Preparing representations
• Leading where appropriate and supporting the preparation of Listed Building Consent submissions and Certificate of Lawfulness applications
• Attending Business Development events
• Assist the Directors with winning new business
• Mentor and guide more junior members of the planning team

Required Skills & Experience

• Qualified Town Planner (MRTPI)
• Track record of wining new business
• Experience successfully leading complex planning applications
• Previous experience from a consultancy
• Driving license is essential
