Role & Responsibilities

  • Prepare comprehensive technical drawing packages across all RIBA stages for commercial refurbishment and workplace fit-out projects
  • Coordinate architectural information with consultants, contractors and suppliers to ensure accurate and buildable design solutions
  • Undertake regular site inspections, monitoring progress and ensuring construction aligns with design intent and technical specifications
  • Develop detailed interior and exterior construction details including joinery, finishes and bespoke design elements
  • Ensure full compliance with current Building Regulations, British Standards and relevant industry guidance throughout project delivery
  • Support design development by resolving technical challenges and contributing to coordinated project solutions
  • Review and contribute to NBS specifications, ensuring clarity and consistency across all project documentation
  • Assist in programme coordination and technical delivery to maintain project timelines and quality benchmarks

Skills & Experience Required

  • Minimum seven years experience delivering commercial or workplace architecture projects within the UK construction environment
  • Strong technical background in refurbishment, extension and adaptation of existing buildings across multiple project scales
  • Comprehensive knowledge of construction detailing, material specification and high-quality interior finishes
  • Advanced AutoCAD skills with proven ability to produce accurate and coordinated technical drawing packages
  • Confident working on site, communicating effectively with contractors and resolving technical queries during construction
  • Experience producing detailed exterior and interior construction drawings and coordinating multidisciplinary information
  • Strong understanding of project budgets, procurement routes and construction delivery processes within commercial sectors
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work proactively within a fast-paced and design-focused studio environment
