Job Summary
Senior Architect Job Clerkenwell is an opportunity to join a well-established architectural practice working on design-led residential developments. Based in Clerkenwell, the role sits within the Architecture sector and focuses on leading complex housing projects for national housebuilders and private developers.
You will join a collaborative residential team delivering projects across all RIBA stages. The role suits an experienced architect confident leading consultants, coordinating technical delivery, and maintaining strong relationships with clients and contractors.

About the Company
The practice is a multidisciplinary Architecture studio with more than 120 architects, designers and creatives across three UK locations. Their London, Gloucester and Newport offices collaborate closely to deliver projects across residential, commercial and mixed-use sectors.
Residential work forms a significant part of the business, with long-standing relationships with major housebuilders and developers. Projects range from early feasibility and masterplanning through to detailed design and site delivery.
Design quality and technical expertise are equally valued. Architects and technologists collaborate from the earliest stages to ensure that strong design ideas remain deliverable and commercially realistic throughout the project lifecycle.

Role & Responsibilities
- Lead residential Architecture projects through multiple RIBA stages from concept to completion
- Coordinate internal design teams and external consultants to deliver technically robust solutions
- Manage client relationships and represent the practice in meetings and project reviews
- Oversee planning submissions and liaise with local planning authorities and consultees
- Lead technical coordination to ensure compliance with UK Building Regulations and national space standards
- Support contract administration and project delivery during construction stages
- Contribute to mentoring junior team members within the residential Architecture team
- Maintain design quality and project delivery standards across all stages
This Senior Architect Job Clerkenwell will involve working closely with national housebuilders and developers delivering medium to large residential schemes.
Skills & Experience Required
- ARB registered Architect with approximately 10 years professional experience
- Strong residential project experience within the UK Architecture sector
- Proven track record delivering projects through all RIBA stages including site delivery
- Experience working with regional or national housebuilders and private developers
- Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations and wider technical standards
- Confidence coordinating consultant teams and managing project programmes
- Experience leading planning applications and managing interaction with local planning authorities
- Ability to work independently with clients and contractors
- Experience with Higher Risk Buildings or Building Safety Regulator applications is beneficial
The successful candidate for this Senior Architect Job Clerkenwell will demonstrate strong leadership ability and confidence managing complex residential developments.

- Salary £45,000 to £55,000 depending on experience
