Senior Architect Job in Dallas, Texas, USA

Senior Architect job now available, with a mid-size architecture and design firm, working from their office in Dallas, Texas, on a hybrid schedule. If you’re looking for a practice that works across a range of project types and provides exposure to all stages of design, then read on!

Having been established for over four decades, our client has strong roots in Texas and due to their continued expansion, they are looking to appoint a Senior Architect to join their already 100+ strong team. As a business, they actively encourage staff to be involved across all design phases and are not limited to one particular typology of work, including commercial, hospitality, sports, education, residential, and more!

Role & Responsibilities

  • Take the lead from a PA/PM perspective on several projects, across all design phases with ranging sizes and complexities
  • Guide the design and production of projects from schematic design through to construction administration, aligned with budgetary requirements and client needs
  • Assist with the design and development of proposals and contracts, including agreeing on budgets, schedules, and scope of works
  • Work with external consultants and vendors when required
  • Liaise with clients directly
  • Occasional travel to site/meetings
  • Mentoring of junior staff.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Degree qualified in Architecture
  • Licenced Architect, ideally within Texas but state transfers will also be considered
  • 8+ years of industry experience, ideally across a range of project typologies
  • Proficiency in Revit, Adobe Suite, Enscape and Rhino
  • SketchUp and Vray experience is desirable but not essential
  • Project planning experience, ideally using Deltek, Vision or Unanet
  • Strong knowledge of building codes and specifications
  • Sustainability accreditation in LEED, WELL or LFA
  • Experience managing projects across all phases
  • Team management experience.

  • Salary of $80,000 – $100,000
  • 15 days PTO, plus 10 floating holidays
