Role & Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of education sector projects across all RIBA stages from concept through to completion
• Report directly to the Project Director ensuring consistent design quality and strong technical coordination throughout delivery stages
• Manage and mentor architectural teams supporting professional development and maintaining high performance standards across multiple projects
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships while coordinating effectively with consultants contractors and wider project stakeholders
• Contribute to business development activities including bid preparation and supporting the securing of new education sector opportunities
• Oversee project budgets timelines and resource allocation ensuring successful delivery within agreed programme and cost constraints
• Ensure compliance with UK building regulations education guidelines and sustainability targets across all project outputs

Skills & Experience Required

• ARB registered Architect with a minimum of five years UK professional experience following completion of Part III qualification
• Proven experience leading architectural projects across all RIBA stages with strong technical delivery and coordination capability
• In-depth knowledge of UK building regulations and education sector compliance requirements across design and delivery phases
• Demonstrated ability to manage and mentor teams while delivering projects within programme and budget constraints effectively
• Strong client-facing communication and presentation skills with the ability to build and maintain long-term professional relationships
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD with the ability to produce and coordinate detailed and accurate technical drawings
• Experience working on education or public sector projects with a strong focus on user-centred and inclusive design approaches

Salary & Benefits

• Salary range of £42,000 – £47,000 depending on experience and project leadership capability
• Hybrid working arrangement including work from home Fridays and early finish at 1pm
