The client is delivering two prime residential refurbishment projects in Central London, including a Grade II Listed townhouse. The work is heritage-led and requires detailed technical coordination across construction-stage design information, specialist consultant input and contractor delivery.
The project environment is collaborative and professional, with close engagement between the client, contractor, consultants and key stakeholders. The role offers involvement in prestigious high-end residential projects where design quality, listed building sensitivity and accurate technical delivery are essential.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead architectural coordination throughout the construction phase across heritage residential refurbishment projects
- Review, update and manage construction-stage drawing packages in line with project programme requirements
- Coordinate architectural, structural and MEP information across clients, contractors and consultant teams
- Resolve site queries and technical issues efficiently while maintaining design quality and compliance
- Review specialist subcontractor packages including windows, doors, staircases, lift interfaces and bespoke joinery
- Coordinate heritage-sensitive design decisions with specialist consultants and relevant project stakeholders
- Liaise with local authorities, Building Control and wider stakeholders during construction delivery stages
- Support contractor procurement, technical submissions, site meetings and design coordination meetings
Skills & Experience Required
- ARB Registered Architect with a minimum of 10 years post-qualification professional experience
- Proven experience delivering high-end residential refurbishment projects within London project environments
- Strong listed building and heritage project experience across construction-stage design and delivery
- Excellent technical knowledge with a strong understanding of UK Building Regulations requirements
- Experience coordinating architectural, structural and MEP information across multidisciplinary project teams
- Proficient in AutoCAD with strong construction-stage drawing production and technical detailing ability
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across clients, contractors and specialist consultants
- Experience with Westminster City Council, RBKC or Grosvenor Estate requirements would be desirable
Salary & Benefits
