Our client is the retirement living division of one of the UK’s largest residential development, regeneration and property management businesses. They design, build, manage and maintain homes aimed at over 55’s communities.
An opportunity now exists for an experienced sales professional with a background in residential sales to take on the role of Sales Manager on our client’s flagship development in Aberdeenshire. The development consists of 94 high-quality, modern cottages and apartments. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a small team and the overall sales process so that customers receive the best possible service.
Role & Responsibilities
This is an autonomous role that will enable you to showcase your sales skills as well as to recruit, lead and inspire a new team. In essence you will oversee the day to day management of the marketing and sales processes as well as having responsibility for two team members.
A key part of your role will be to oversee the sales procedure to ensure customers receive a smooth and efficient service from first enquiry through to completion. Furthermore you will by utilising salesforce CRM ensure accurate and timely reports are recorded and reported to the Director of Development and Sales, in relation to plot sales status, forecast dates, sales progression notes, Community Events and Campaigns etc.
Required Skills & Experience
Ideally you will have experience managing or leading a team within a sales and/or customer service environment. Previous experience of new home sales is not essential but would certainly be advantageous. Due to the nature of the role we require someone that has excellent communication skills and is able to influence in a positive manner. Ultimately you will understand what good customer service looks like and will lead your team by example.
