Revit Technician - Tower Hamlets, London

A sociable and supportive practice in Tower Hamlets are now looking for an experienced Revit Technician to join their fast growing company, on a six week contract basis, starting immediately.

Established in 2004 the practice has won multiple awards and built up an eclectic portfolio of UK projects, ranging from £2.5million to £60million in construction value. Their wide variety of completed projects includes high-end residential, education, masterplans, residential developments and towers. The practice is well known for its design excellence and its constantly growing team; and offers both consultancy and design services.

Role & Responsibilities

The successful candidates will be working closely alongside, and reporting to, the Technical Director on an exciting medium scale residential development project consisting of 45 units. The project is a refurbishment of an old police station with new build homes behind it.

You will be working on the technical stages using Revit, predominantly RIBA stages 3 and 4, creating technical designs, tender packages and construction drawings.

Required Skills & Experience

• Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in professional practice
• Proficiency in Revit is crucial
• Solid knowledge of UK Building Regulations
• Must have excellent technical detailing skills
• Strong in the delivery stages of a project
• Experience working on multi-unit residential projects
• Must feel comfortable working under your own initiative as well as part of a team
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken, with excellent communication skills
• Good knowledge of AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite is admirable

Whilst the above requirements are fundamental to the role, it is also advantageous that applicants have experience working on projects with construction values in excess of £30million and knowledge of contract administration and budgeting.

Please note that candidates without Revit experience on live projects will not be considered for this role.

Rate

The successful candidate will be rewarded with an hourly rate of up to £35 per hour, depending on experience.
