Job Summary

Retrofit Assessor Job Manchester. This role offers an opportunity to work across residential properties throughout Manchester and the wider North West, delivering energy efficiency assessments and supporting retrofit programmes within the property sector.

You will carry out detailed on-site surveys, collect data and produce compliant reports aligned with PAS 2035 standards. Role & Responsibilities

• Carry out detailed retrofit assessments on residential properties in line with PAS 2035 requirements and best practice standards
• Produce accurate energy reports, EPC documentation and supporting survey drawings for project delivery and compliance
• Collaborate with Retrofit Coordinators, Designers and consultants to develop effective energy improvement strategies
• Support feasibility studies, technical specifications and tender documentation for retrofit and refurbishment schemes
• Maintain detailed project records, ensuring all assessment data is accurate, compliant and audit ready
• Engage with residents professionally during site visits, explaining processes and minimising disruption
• Assist in identifying suitable energy efficiency measures based on building condition and performance data
• Contribute to continuous improvement of internal processes and quality assurance within retrofit delivery programmes

Skills & Experience Required

• Qualified Retrofit Assessor accredited through Elmhurst, Stroma or equivalent recognised accreditation body
• Qualified Domestic Energy Assessor with proven experience producing EPCs and energy performance reports
• Strong understanding of residential construction methods and building fabric performance across different property types
• Experience delivering retrofit assessments within housing association or local authority projects is highly desirable
• Knowledge of PAS 2035 processes and energy efficiency standards within the UK property sector
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate technical documentation and reports
• Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with residents and project stakeholders
• Full UK driving licence with willingness to travel across Manchester and the wider North West region

Salary & Benefits

• Salary between £38,000 and £45,000 depending on experience and technical capability
