My client is a leader in the hugely creative and fast paced industry of Architecture. Now seeking a Receptionist / Team Administrator to support the Practice Manager and a team of 35 professionals, you’ll be surrounded daily by creative and passionate individuals

With an enviable portfolio of prestigious projects, you’ll be working for one of the most well established, high end residential focused practices in London. This is the perfect opportunity for someone that enjoys being within a creative working environment and who will relish responsibility.

Role & Responsibilities

This role is the first point of contact for all visitors to the company, giving support to the Practice Manager with administrative duties and to support the Architectural team with admin, photo shop and InDesign work. The work load varies greatly from day to day making the role your role interesting and different every day.

Your day to day responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

General Duties:

  • Meeting and greeting clients
  • Arranging coffees/teas and refreshments when required
  • Setting up meeting rooms for all meetings
  • Logging keys, cameras and other equipment used by Architects and uploading of data when required
  • Typing minutes and generally typing when required
  • Booking taxis for staff and clients and logging as appropriate
  • Distribution of post
  • General photocopying and printing as required by other members of staff
  • Maintaining stationery cupboard and logging usage against projects

Assistance to Practice Manager:

  • Assist with general admin
  • Managing the office diary
  • Filing, photocopying and printing
  • Help facilitate company events
  • Support with any other ad-hoc duties as required

Team Admin Duties:

  • Support Architectural team with InDesign and Photoshop work where necessary
  • Support Project Secretaries with project overflow
  • Support other admin with CPD set ups

Required Skills & Experience

  • Previous reception experience is essential for this appointment
  • InDesign and Photoshop experience is also essential for this position
  • Fantastic face to face skills and well executed greeting ability
  • Proof of high calibre customer service duties in past positions
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office programmes
  • Computer literate with basic Excel skills and ability to learn new systems and adapt
  • Demonstrable experience of working to strict deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail and levels of accuracy
  • Ability to create, enhance and maintain effective working relationships
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to pro-actively plan and take ownership of own workload
  • Ability to cope with change in a fast-paced environment
  • Customer focused with an approachable personality and ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Accurate, efficient and organised whilst under time pressure
  • Self-motivated, with drive and perseverance to push things through to conclusion
  • Flexible approach to working hours

Salary & Package

£22,000 – £23,000 (Dependent on experience) + workplace pension

Working hours are 9.30 am – 6.00 pm
