Role & Responsibilities

• Take ownership of projects from feasibility through to completion ensuring delivery against programme cost and quality targets
• Prepare scopes of work specifications tender documentation and project programmes from architectural drawings
• Manage tender processes including cost analysis negotiation and subcontractor appointment
• Administer contracts acting as Project Manager Employer’s Agent or Contract Administrator
• Oversee financial control including purchase orders valuations cost reporting and final account agreement
• Ensure compliance with Building Regulations CDM regulations and statutory approvals
• Coordinate internal design teams consultants and contractors to ensure integrated project delivery
• Chair and attend client consultant contractor and local authority meetings
• Support the Site Manager to ensure high quality construction delivery aligned with project documentation
• Maintain strong client relationships and identify opportunities for repeat work

Skills & Experience Required

• Minimum five years post qualification experience in project management within retail or commercial construction
• Degree qualified in Architecture Interior Design Construction Management or related discipline
• Strong understanding of shopfitting fit-out and commercial construction processes
• Ability to review technical drawings specifications and construction details
• Knowledge of JCT building contracts and construction legislation
• Experience managing budgets cost reporting and financial forecasting
• Strong communication negotiation and stakeholder management skills
• Proficiency in MS Outlook Word Excel and PowerPoint
• Ability to review AutoCAD drawings or equivalent design software
• Awareness of sustainable materials and innovation within commercial design
