Project Manager Job in Austin, Texas, USA

Our client has a new requirement for a Project Manager job. Seeking a licensed Architect with a background in the education, higher education, or K-12 sector. As part of this role, you will be the primary contact for local education projects and oversee all stages, managing and collaborating with a highly skilled project team. This opportunity is with one of the leading practices in the industry and a highly desirable company to be a part of. Offering a salary of circa $100,000 plus bonus potential, benefits, and hybrid working!

Established for almost a century, this practice is recognised globally and has a diverse portfolio of award-winning and notable projects across a wide range of industry types. The firm has over 2,000 members of staff across the globe and this position will see you based from their studio in Austin, Texas, with a team of 50 in the studio. If you’re an experienced and licensed Architect with relevant industry experience, then this opportunity is certainly not one to miss!

Role & Responsibilities

  • Take part in the preparation of construction drawings across the SD and DD phases, including involvement in contract documents
  • Management of a project team daily (6-10 staff), mentoring junior staff when required
  • Be the main point of contact between the firm and the client, including communication and coordination with external contractors, consultants, and vendors
  • Ensure the client’s desired requirements are met and aligned throughout the design process through to the installation
  • Assist with the development and occasional delivery of client presentations and marketing efforts.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Degree qualified in Architecture or similar; licensure required
  • 12+ years of experience, including significant experience in education, higher education, or K-12
  • LEED AP certification or on track to be completed within 6 months of hire
  • Proficiency in Revit, additional skills in 3D modeling, graphic design, or visualization are desirable
  • Proven experience managing architectural projects across all phases
  • Team management and client-facing experience.
