Project Architect Job in San Antonio, Texas, USA

New requirement for a Project Architect job available with an established architecture and design firm. The role will see you working from their office in San Antonio, Texas, on a hybrid schedule. Offering the opportunity to be involved in a range of project types and cover all stages of design!

Having been established for over four decades, our client has strong roots in Texas and due to their continued expansion, they are looking to appoint a Project Architect to join their already 100+ strong team. As a business, they actively encourage staff to be involved across all design phases and are not limited to one typology of work, including commercial, hospitality, sports, education, residential, and more. The role will see you work alongside a team of 60+ at the San Antonio office, set in Downtown, with free local parking and a recently refurbished double-height space styled in a contemporary industrial aesthetic with all the resources a creative architect will need!

Role & Responsibilities

  • To be involved in and guide projects through design, documentation, and production
  • Assist with project management responsibilities
  • Guide the design and production of projects from schematic design through to construction administration
  • Assist with the design and development of proposals and contracts
  • Occasional travel to site/meetings
  • Assist with mentoring junior staff.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Degree qualified in Architecture
  • Licenced Architect, ideally within Texas but state transfers will also be considered
  • 6-8 years of industry experience, ideally across a range of project typologies
  • Proficiency in Revit, Adobe Suite, Enscape and Rhino
  • SketchUp and Vray experience is desirable but not essential
  • Project planning experience, ideally using Deltek, Vision or Unanet
  • Strong knowledge of building codes and specifications
  • Sustainability accreditation in LEED, WELL or LFA
  • Experience managing projects across all phases
  • Team management experience.
