A unique opportunity has arisen for a talented and technically strong Project Architect or Senior Technologist, to join a tight-knit team within a prestigious Chartered firm in Hampstead. The role is offered on a permanent basis, to work on some exciting high-end residential projects across the UK.

Established in 1981 the practice is a RIBA Chartered Practice within the heart of Hampstead village, currently holding 15 members of staff. The practice specialises in the high-end residential sector working with private and public clients as well as a number of developers across the UK. The practice holds an eclectic portfolio with a range of projects varying in size and value with private family homes up to 12,000 sq feet in size including luxury features within their home of cinemas, games rooms and swimming pools.

Role & Responsibilities

As the Project Architect you will be the main point of contact for clients within the practice and will primarily be office based with regular site visits at a later stage. You will be working through a variety of RIBA stages, with a focus on technical detailing, NBS Specifications, AV and M&E.

You will be working closely with the two leading partners in the firm running projects and also ensuring that the junior members of the team are supported and encouraged as well.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Around 10 years’ experience as a Project Runner, Architect or Technician/ Technologist
  • Proven experience delivering both high-end private and developer residential projects from inception to completion
  • Solid knowledge and experience working through all RIBA stages
  • Solid up to date knowledge of UK Planning Policies and standards
  • Experience working on NBS Specification writing and dealing with AV and M&E consultants
  • Exceptional organisational, time and people management skills
  • Excellent networking, personal communication, and client relations skills
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills
  • Must have the ability to liaise effectively with clients, external consultants and in house teams
  • Proficiency in Vectorworks would be beneficial but training can be provided
  • Independent and highly motivated as well as being able to work well as part of a team

Salary & Package

In addition to a highly competitive basic salary of £40,000 – £50,000 dependent on experience, the successful candidate will also be rewarded with a company pension scheme.

You will be entitled to a highly generous holiday allowance of 21 days per year plus bank holidays and extra days off for Christmas which is not taken out of your holiday allowance, as well as incurring 1 day’s holiday per year of employment.

You will be working sociable hours of 9.30am – 5.30pm in the heart of Hampstead Village within close reach to a number of local stations only a 5-minute walk away. The team regularly go out for drinks, a bite to eat and sometimes even go and play football after work as well as other sociable activities.
