Role & Responsibilities
- Develop technical design packages from RIBA Stage 4 through to project completion
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure integrated delivery
- Manage design integration between new-build and refurbishment project elements
- Oversee detailing, material specifications, and construction sequencing across projects
- Monitor construction progress and support site delivery alongside project team members
- Maintain quality and accuracy in technical documentation and contractor communication
- Support resolution of technical issues during construction and delivery stages
- Collaborate closely with senior team members to ensure design intent is achieved
Skills & Experience Required
- ARB registered architect with minimum five years post Part II experience in the UK
- Strong understanding of UK Building Regulations and National Described Space Standards
- Experience across all RIBA stages with focus on technical stages three to five
- Proficiency in AutoCAD with working knowledge of Revit or similar software tools
- Strong coordination skills working with consultants and multidisciplinary teams
- Clear communication skills for effective collaboration with contractors and stakeholders
- Portfolio demonstrating high quality residential or mixed-use project experience
- Interest in Principal Designer role with willingness to undertake further training
Salary & Benefits
- Salary between £45,000 and £50,000 depending on experience and capability level
- Financial support and training towards Principal Designer role if desired
