Part II Architectural Assistant - Shoreditch, London

A unique opportunity has now been created for a talented and ambitious Part II Architectural Assistant within a highly successful private developer in Shoreditch on a permanent basis; to work on some exciting commercial projects throughout the UK.

The company is focused very much on the production of high quality sustainable homes that have a positive social impact and improve the areas that they are built in. Projects include bespoke houses, high quality new builds, urban regeneration and the change of use of old industrial/commercial units. The business is dedicated to producing beautifully designed homes, using the best quality building techniques and ethically sourced materials.

Role & Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be working through various RIBA stages and will be expected to produce high quality designs and detailing from planning through developed design and construction. You will be working on an array of projects in a variety of sectors including commercial, residential, sustainable communities and mixed use.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Be accredited with RIBA Part II
• A minimum of 3 years using Revit on live projects
• Experience and knowledge of BREEAM and codes for sustainable homes would be beneficial
• Enjoy working within a small architectural team within a large multidisciplinary organisation
• Experience of preparing drawings and documents up to stage 4
• Strong communication skills with all staff and clients
• Experience working on residential and sustainable housing projects is ideal
• A minimum of 3 years commercial project experience in essential
• An interest in traditional styles of architecture would be of benefit
• Good hand sketching skills

Salary & Package:

The successful candidate will be rewarded with a highly competitive salary ranging between £28,000 – £30,000, depending on experience; a discretionary bonus and 25 days holiday per year.
