Based in the appealing area of South East London our client’s offices are right by the vibrant area of London Bridge, just a 5 minute walk from London Bridge Station. Our client has been established since 1990. Collectively the partners have a wide-ranging and detailed knowledge of all areas of healthcare design with specific expertise in Strategic Planning and the design of Mental Health, Acute and Primary Care facilities.

They also have a track record in designing successful conservation, regeneration and private residential schemes across the country. As a practice they are keen to promote high quality design that provides a considered but sensitive response to all aspects of a client’s brief.

The office has a relaxed feel with a very pleasant working atmosphere. There are about 20 members of staff in the London office and our client works very closely with another Architects firm who are based in the same building allowing a whole range of projects to be completed.

This client is a RIBA Chartered practice and a leading member of Architects for Health, a specialist RIBA linked society promoting high quality healthcare design.

Our client is now looking to recruit a talented Part II Architectural Assistant to join their team based in South East London.

The successful candidate will be RIBA Part II qualified, and will have previous experience working within a UK based Architectural Practice.

You will have a broad range of project experience with excellent design and technical ability, as well as having a working knowledge of current UK building regulations and construction. You should have an eye for detailed design and have the ability to communicate well with others. You will have previous experience taking projects from inception through to completion.

You will be fully proficient in AutoCAD.

This role will be to work on a range of interesting projects in different sectors. Our client works on a large amount of healthcare projects as well as a small amount of residential, educational, pharmaceutical and commercial projects.

Our client is looking to pay up to £33,000 per annum for the right candidate. As well as an attractive salary the office has a great social aspect and organises staff outings in the summer and winter months, they also pay for professional subscriptions to RIBA and hold fortnightly CPD training in the office.

Our client is prepared to assist Part II Assistants to complete their Part III examinations should they wish to do so. They will pay for exam costs and allow additional time off for studies.

Our client is looking for someone who has the determination and ambition to progress within the company, with the potential for an associate role in the future. The work can be intense and challenging at times but people who are enthusiastic are encouraged to progress.
