Part II Architectural Assistant Job Central london is available with a growing practice delivering conservation and heritage projects across London, the UK and internationally. This Architecture role focuses on high-end traditional, classical and historic building projects, including private homes, London estates, country estates, listed buildings, commercial properties and interiors.
The successful candidate will work across RIBA stages, with an initial focus on stage 4 through to completion. You will support Project Architects, produce detailed hand drawings, prepare technical information and contribute to bespoke joinery detailing.
The role also includes client communication, site visits, surveys and project research. Role & Responsibilities
- Working on bespoke high-end conservation and heritage projects throughout London and the wider United Kingdom
- Supporting projects including historic buildings, London estates, country estates and grade-listed buildings
- Working across all RIBA stages with an initial focus on stage 4 through to completion
- Speaking with clients and attending site visits and surveys to support project development
- Carrying out project research and preparing information to support design and technical decision making
- Reporting to Project Architects on progress, project updates and technical delivery requirements
- Producing detailed hand drawings for traditional, classical and conservation focused architecture projects
- Preparing high-quality design and technical drawings including detailed joinery fittings in traditional styles
Skills & Experience Required
- Part II qualified Architectural Assistant with a minimum of two years professional experience post qualification
- Relevant United Kingdom project experience across traditional, high-end, classical or conservation architecture projects
- Experience producing bespoke detailing for traditional, classical or high-end architectural design schemes
- Passion for classical and traditional architecture with strong interest in historic building preservation
- Strong design flair combined with technical knowledge and confidence producing detailed architectural information
- Experience in preservation and refurbishment projects involving historic buildings and sensitive architectural settings
- Experience using ArchiCAD would be beneficial, although full software training will be provided
- Confident communicating with clients, Project Architects and wider team members throughout project stages
Salary & Benefits
- Salary ranging from £33,000 – £38,000 DOE depending on experience and suitability
- Twenty one days holiday plus bank holidays and discretionary leave over the Christmas period
- No staff are expected to work overtime, although offered overtime is paid at an increased rate
