Part II Architectural Assistant - Bethnal Green, London

This is a RIBA chartered practice and design studio based in a beautiful canal side warehouse in east London, who will offer career development to the right candidate as the practice continues to grow.

Established by two highly successful Directors, the company has a keen focus on the way their projects are processed, ensuring they deliver aspirational projects at the highest quality of standards. The practice has earnt an admirable reputation for their high quality designs on an array of projects, particularly in sectors such as residential and hospitality.

Role & Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be working on the development and management of conceptual and detailed designs on a variety of interesting hospitality, retail and residential projects across a variety of central London locations. You will also be responsible for the following duties:

• Develop and manage the conceptual and detailed design of our projects
• Produce drawings and 3D visualisations to capture and communicate the design intent
• Participate in regular design workshops with clients
• Work closely with other consultants to coordinate pre-construction information
• Undertake regular site visits during construction
• Work alongside suppliers, fabricators and manufacturers to procure specialist items
• Source and specify furniture and finishes
• Undertake the production of information for tender purposes and play an active role in negotiations with contractors

Required Skills and Experience

• A minimum of 2 year’s professional post part II experience
• Proficiency in Vectorworks, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office packages is required
• Must be confident in working independently when required
• Have experience producing drawings and 3D visualisations
• Experience working on both conceptual and detailed design
• Experience in both retail and/or interior architecture would be considered an advantage
• Knowledge in Sketchup, Rhino and V-ray are an advantage
• A motivated individual with a can-do work ethic

Salary & Package

This role is offered on a permanent basis, with a competitive salary ranging between £25,000 and £33,000, depending on experience.
