Part II Architectural Assistant / Architect / Technician (Contract) - Pall Mall, London

A 4-6-week contract is now available for a technically minded Part II Architectural Assistant, Architect or Technician. You’ll be joining a residential focused practice in South London, where there is the possibility of this becoming a long-term contract or permanent position.

Originally founded in the United States, my client has a proud heritage of creating Architecture in the world’s most complex urban environments. With a 140 staff strong office and an extremely reputable name for themselves in New York, the practice is breaking the UK market and building even further on their success. Providing a range of architectural design and technical services, predominantly within large scale/ high rise residential, hospitality and mixed-use developments, they now seek additional assistance in their small team of 5 in the form of a short-term contract.

Role & Responsibilities

You will be heavily involved in the design development stages of a large London based residential scheme. Working specifically on a 19-storey residential block, you will be required to produce high quality working drawings using AutoCAD. Throughout your time with the practice you will be provided with a good level of direction from senior staff.

Required Skills & Experience

• A qualified Part II Architect or Technician with a minimum of 2 years’ experience since qualifying (My client is considering Part II’s, Architects or Architectural Technicians for this appointment)
• A minimum of 3 years UK experience in a professional practice
• Experienced delivering largescale residential developments / mixed use projects
• Experience producing apartment layouts
• Excellent ability in detailing with a thorough technical knowledge
• Ability to manage workload efficiently, be well organised and self-motivated
• Confident producing working drawings of a high calibre
• Fluency in AutoCAD, Sketch Up and Photoshop are essential, other rendering programme skills are also desirable
• 3D software knowledge would also be beneficial
• Fluent spoken and written English

Salary & Package

£20 – £24 per hour DOE
